A neighbor in Benteen Park is organizing a community trash pick-up on Friday morning, please see the details provided below!

If anyone would like to meet Friday morning for neighborhood trash pick-up, please just show up at 8:10. The area we'd like to work on is: Boulevard,starting at Cassanova and ending at the parking lot of El Progresso on the east side of Boulevard and on the opposite site (the west side), the Chevron. So, again, to be clear, starting at Boulevard and Cassanova and working South toward the Penitentiary. There's especially a lot of trash on the AT&T grounds and on the cement where the cell tower is. Please bring a NUMBER (bring at least 10 if you can) of those brown Kroger or Publix bags or whatever bag you can comfortably use for trash. There is now a city trash can on the Northeast corner of Cassanova and Boulevard. We can put our bags in there. Please come! It's great exercise and the trash on Boulevard is getting a bit severe! Too much for one person to do; but as a group effort, it'll be a cinch.
